Drama For Life, DFL, enhances the capacity of communities to take responsibility for the quality of their lives. International students must submit all applications, with supporting documentation, on or before 30th October 2011; while the deadline date for all South Africans is 30th November 2011. Please note that the latter deadline is for South Africans Only.
Drama for Life is about social transformation. It is about changing the face of education. It is about creating spaces for the education of the soul as much as the education of the mind. It is also about ensuring ethical, professional and creative practice in the field of arts development, education, therapies and activism.
Its mission is to enhance dialogue for purposes of social transformation through research, teaching and learning, and community engagement. It achieves this through a critical reflexive and therapeutic approach that relates to current social realities and the rich indigenous knowledge of Africa.
Drama for Life is Africa's leader in interdisciplinary and integrated approach to Applied Drama, Arts Education and Drama Therapy. It is hosted by the University of Witwatersrand (Wits) School of Arts.
