NYSC Bars Posting Engineers To Teach In Secondary Schools
The National Youth Service Corps has concluded plans to halt the posting of engineers to secondary schools and other places of primary assignment different from Engineering Institutions. The agreement was reached by the Directorate of NYSC and Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has increased the duration for studying medicine in Nigerian universities to seven years. Prior to this development, a student wishing to qualify as a medical doctor at the end of his university training, had only to spend six years in a medical school.

Few days ago, we received an e-mail from a school called 'Hull University, Malta' requesting us to publish a scholarship they were running in conjunction with the European Union. We obliged them, and on Saturday, April 19th, 2014, we published the EU Africa Scholarships at Hull University for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Africans whose application deadline is slated for 14 June, 2014.
