Scholarship Description
The Bayelsa State Scholarship Board hereby informs interested applicants of Bayelsa State Origin who are residing in their respective Local Government Areas that the 2013 - 2014 Lincoln University, USA, undergraduate scholarship forms are out and available.

The undergraduate scholarship forms are available for collection, free of charge at the eight (8) Local Government Area Headquarters, with effect from Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

Eligibility
Any indigene of Bayelsa State of Nigeria, who is academically eligible and has need for the State Government’s Scholarship, can apply, provided the applicant can fulfill and comply with the conditions of the Award.

Applicants may be residing either within or outside Bayelsa state.

However, all the successful applicants shall be bonded to serve the Government of Bayelsa State of Nigeria for a minimum period of five (5) Calendar years, after graduation, in addition to any other conditions.

Method of Application
To apply, you must obtain and correctly fill in one of the undergraduate scholarship form available, free of charge at any of the eight (8) Local Government Area Headquarters, with effect from Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

Requirements for filling the forms are:
  • 1½ x 1½ inch colour passport,
  • SSCE, GCE or NECO O’level
  • Birth certificate or age declaration and
  • Local Government Identification Certificate or Letter
For Applicants Within Bayelsa state:
Applicants resident in Yenagoa and its environs, can go to the Scholarship Board’s Office, at:

Major Andrew Oputa Road,
Off old Assembly Quarters Road,
Ekeki-Yenagoa, to complete the Application Forms.

Please ensure that the form is correctly filled. You should also submit immediately to the committee on the spot, at the Local Government Headquarters collection point.

For Applicants Outside Bayelsa state:
Applicants outside Bayelsa State can access the forms on-line, at: www.bssb-gov.com (see active link to official website below).

They should print out a color copy, completely fill in the form with a 1½ x 1½ inch color passport photography, sign the form and e-mail it with the required documents to:
bssb-gov.com and bssbluaf@gmail.com.

PLEASE NOTE:All screened and shortlisted candidates will be notified and invited to sit for the competitive examinations on Tuesday 19th November, 2013 at 9am prompt.

Accreditation:
Accreditation will be at the Peace Park, opposite the Bayelsa State Government House, Yenagoa.

Penalties:
Any beneficiary of the Bayelsa State Scholarship Scheme would be penalized to refund the full value of the Scholarship and annual compound interest of the Scholarship cost if beneficiary fails to:
  1. COMPLETE his or her studies and service .
  2. Service his or her bond after completion of his or studies
  3. Visa Information
  4. TAKE the ACT or SAT and have official test results.
  5. SUBMIT $50 application fee.
