Scholarship Description
In recognition of the outstanding talent of many international students, Cardiff University offers a range of highly prestigious international scholarship designed to attract and reward the best students.

Cardiff University offers Undergraduate International Scholarships for overseas students to study at the university. Students must be confirmed as an Overseas Student for fee paying purposes.

The University must receive a student’s application to study an academic programme at Cardiff University. Applications will only be considered from students who have firmly accepted a conditional or unconditional offer for their academic course by the deadline date.

Eligibility
To be eligible:
  • Applicants must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee paying purposes (this information is contained in their offer letter).
  • Applicants must fully complete the application form with the supporting statements as directed. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
  • Undergraduate applicants must have accepted Cardiff University as their Firm choice on the UCAS system by 1300 (GMT) Friday 30th May 2015
Please note:
These scholarships are only available to self-funded students.

Students who are in receipt of full funding (consisting of either tuition fees or tuition fees and living costs) from a sponsorship body (such as their home country’s Government, charity or a private organisation) are not eligible to apply.

Sponsorship duration
The Cardiff University Undergraduate International Scholarships will be for a maximum of 3 years only

Scholarship benefits
This award will cover tuition fees for a student studying an Undergraduate course (fixed upto a maximum of £17,000 per year, for no more than 3 years).

The deadline to submit an application for the Undergraduate International Scholarships is 1300 (GMT) Friday 30th May 2015

PLEASE NOTE:
Successful applicants who have already accepted an unconditional offer will be informed as soon as possible after the May deadline (usually by 29th June).

These scholarships are only for new international students. Students progressing from an undergraduate course to a postgraduate course will be considered.

Cardiff University is a public research university located in Cardiff, Wales, United Kingdom. The University is composed of three colleges: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; Biomedical and Life Sciences; and Physical Sciences and Engineering.

Founded in 1883 as the University College of South Wales and Monmouthshire, it became one of the founding colleges of the University of Wales in 1893, and in 1999 became an independent University awarding its own degrees. It is the second oldest university in Wales.
