Scholarship Description
The combined department of Breast Imaging at Mount Sinai Hospital, Princess Margaret Hospital and Women's College Hospital offers a very comprehensive one-year Breast Imaging fellowship.

They offer world class experience with a very large number of clinical cases, leading-edge technology and a comprehensive research program. As a result of their large practice and state of the art technology, they are able to offer their fellows in-depth exposure to all aspects of screening, diagnostic, interventional and research breast imaging experiences.

Their graduates have come from all different continents and have been successful in continuing in either academic or private practices of their choice in different parts of the world.

Eligibility
Fellowship candidates must have completed an accredited Radiology training program and be:
  • Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Diagnostic Imaging or
  • American Board of Radiology certified/eligible or
  • Certified with equivalent qualifications and
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English.
Proof of these qualifications must be provided by all applicants.

2015-16 academic year: Deadline for receipt of applications is Friday, August 30, 2013.

Applications received after the deadline will be held until after the first round of acceptances in December. These applications will be considered for any positions that may remain open at that time

In order to work in an Ontario teaching hospital, fellows must obtain an educational licence, which is also known as a Certificate authorising Postgraduate Education. This licence is issued by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), and is required before fellows can be involved in any type of patient care. The CPSO will issue educational licences for training periods of up to 36 months duration.
