Scholarship Description
Rotary Clubs in Japan through the Rotary Yoneyama Memorial Foundation offers scholarships for overseas students who aspire to study or conduct research in Japan to undertake undergraduate, masters and doctoral studies at Japanese universities or graduate schools.

The Rotary Yoneyama Scholarship for Applicants Residing Abroad, or "Overseas Application Scholarship" for short, is carried out as a special program to support overseas students in the most-difficult years of their enrolment in Japanese universities and graduate schools. Japanese language ability is not evaluated in the application-screening process.

After you pass, however, Yoneyama scholars are expected to make an effort to communicate in Japanese so as to widen their periphery of exchange. Persons who have held a Yoneyama scholarship in the past are not eligible for this scholarship.
