Scholarship Description
This is an Open Invitation for Application to this 15th Cycle of the Aklilu Lemma Scholarship.

Ethiopian Undergraduate Regular Students of the Addis Ababa University, 2nd Year or Higher, at One of the units listed below, and having a Cumulative GPA of 3.00 and above are Invited to Apply for this 15th edition (2011-2012) of the Aklilu Lemma Scholarship Awards.

ALF will strive to ensure participation of Female Students who fulfill the minimum CGPA requirement of 3.00.

Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must be or have:
  • Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 or Higher; Weighted 75% of Total.
  • Ethiopian Undergraduate Regular Student of the Addis Ababa University, 2nd Year or Higher, at One of the units listed below, and having a Cumulative GPA of 3.00 and above is Invited to Apply for the 15th (2011-2012) Aklilu Lemma Scholarship Awards.
Selection criteria:
For Beneficiary Departments within the CNS, Selection Preference Shall be made in the Order presented in the Table.

Citizens of ANY country (who are regular full-time students of Addis Ababa University)

Participating Institutions
Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia

Fields of study
All undergraduate courses of study at the university. For Beneficiary Departments within the CNS, however, selection preference shall be made in the order presented in the Table at the official website (link to it is below).

Number of awards
25 Meritorious Students Will Be Screened and Selected by ALF Committees at different levels to be Recipients of the Aklilu Lemma Scholarship Awards for the 2011/2012 Academic Year.

Sponsorship duration
The Scholarship Award is Tenable for One Year and is Renewable until Graduation, provided the Awardee Maintains the CGPA Required for Renewal to be specified by faculty/school/institute committees at the time of selection.

Scholarship benefits
Successful Applicants Will Be Awarded a Certificate of Merit, a Monthly Stipend of Eth. Birr 200.00 during the 2011/2012 Academic Year, and some Other Educational Support.
