Scholarship Description
The University of Southern Denmark (also 'Syddansk Universitet') is offering a doctorate Research Fellowship position at its NanoSYD center.

The successful applicant will be enrolled as a PhD student at the PhD School at the Faculty of Engineering within the Research Training Programme of Functional Materials and Nanotechnology.

The successful candidate will be enrolled at this university in accordance with faculty regulations and the Danish Ministerial Order on the PhD Programme at the Universities (PhD order).

Fields of study
The project title is “Ultrasmall transistor-based light sources”.

It should focus on the study and optimization of light emission in nanoscale organic light-emitting transistors based on molecular nanofibers. This includes developing and fabricating novel transistor device platforms and investigating the interaction of the device platform components with the organic nanofibers.

The overall goal is the realization of efficient, multicolor, highly-localized light sources on-chip.

Sponsorship duration
Appointment as a PhD Research Fellow is for three years.

Please note: Employment stops automatically at the end of the period. The holder of the Fellowship is not allowed to have other paid employment during the three-year period.

Scholarship benefits
The successful applicant will be employed in accordance with the agreement of 1. October 2008 on salaried PhD scholars between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).

The successful candidate will be enrolled at this university in accordance with faculty regulations and the Danish Ministerial Order on the PhD Programme at the Universities (PhD order).
