Scholarship Description
The University of Adelaide, in partnership with the Government of Chile, is offering the Chilean Bicentennial Fund Scholarships in Australia for Chilean students.

Under an Agreement for Co-operation in Human Capital Development between the Government of Chile and the University of Adelaide, places are available in a variety of programs for Chilean students who are awarded a scholarship by the Chilean Government.

Under the University-Government of Chile agreement, scholarships will be available for up to four years for postgraduate research programs offered by the University of Adelaide. The University of Adelaide is very pleased to be working in partnership with the Government of Chile to provide greater opportunities for Chilean students to pursue postgraduate studies in Australia.

Eligibility
Applicants from Chile, who must have an acceptable first degree and who have fulfilled the requirements of the postgraduate degree course program for which they are interested in can apply

The University is a leader in research with expertise in a broad range of research areas. Priority fields of study for the Bicentennial Fund Scholarship scheme include, but are not limited to:
  • Agriculture Food and Wine

  • Biotechnology and Biosciences
  • Information and Communication Technologies
  • Energy
  • Environmental issues
  • Health
  • Education
  • Aqua culture and Veterinary Science
Number of awards
Several many awards will be given

Sponsorship duration
Up to four (4) years as follow:
  • PhD Programs - Up to Four (4) years
  • Masters by Research Programs - Two (2) years
Scholarship benefits
The Scholarship provides living expenses while studying in Australia, full tuition fees, return economy air travel, health insurance for the duration of the program, and English language proficiency training before the commencement of the program (when required).

The University of Adelaide is a public university in Adelaide, South Australia. Established in 1874, it is the third-oldest university in Australia. Its main campus is on North Terrace in the Adelaide city centre, with five campuses throughout the state: North Terrace; Roseworthy College at Roseworthy; The Waite Institute at Urrbrae; Thebarton; and the National Wine Centre in the Adelaide Park Lands. It has a sixth campus, the Ngee Ann – Adelaide Education Centre (NAAEC), in Singapore.
