Scholarship Description
In 2004 the Department of Arts and Libraries of the Ministry of Culture became Theatre Institute project coordinating new creative residencies for young artists, based on the acute need for international communication and exchange of Czech artists working in various artistic fields.

Since 2005, the creative residences has been managed by the Art Institute. In late 2006, the Art Institute became a member of the new European network of Halma. The network currently comprises a total of twenty-seven literary centers of mainly Central and Eastern European countries.

The Art Institute is tendering a month stay in the area of creative literature in the House of Writers in the Finnish city of Jyväskylä in the period from 27 September to 27th October 2010.

International poets, prose writers and dramatists who reside or work in the Czech Republic are all invited to partake.

Eligibility
This tender is open to both home and international scholars in the area of creative writing.

A residency can apply to poets, playwrights and prose writers who reside or work in the Czech Republic. The assumption is (basic) knowledge of English.
