Scholarship Description
The Australian Wool Education Trust (AWET) provides undergraduate scholarships, each valued at $6000, for students interested in a career within the wool industry and who are currently studying an agricultural based degree.

To encourage enrolments in the modules being offered by UNE, the Trust co-funds a number of under-graduate scholarships for students across Australia who wish to undertake sheep and wool education training. The Undergraduate Scholarships are co-funded by industry organizations who also help provide unique work experience opportunities.

Undergraduate scholarships are offered to school leavers and first, second and third year university students interested in a career in the Australian sheep and wool industry. The scholarships are generally offered to students in the first, second or third year of their degree study.

Eligibility
The scholarship is for students across Australia who wish to undertake sheep and wool education training.

The scholarship is available to University students currently in their 1st, 2nd or 3rd year and who have one or more years of study remaining on their degree.

Citizens of Australia

Participating Institutions
The Scholarship is available to suitable applicants from any University

Fields of study
Undergraduate course in any Agriculture-based field, with training in sheep and wool education

Number of awards
The number of scholarships offered each year depends on the total funds available

Sponsorship duration
The stipend is for 3 or 4 years depending on the standard period to complete the course

Scholarship benefits
Each scholarship is valued at $6000 per year
