Scholarship Description
Monash University is offering a number of scholarship programs including the Monash University International Leadership Scholarships for outstanding international students.

The Monash University International Leadership Scholarships are targeted at those excellent international students who wish to pursue an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at Monash University.

Monash International Leadership Scholarships

All the following conditions must be met:
  • International student
  • Commencing a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia (you must have received a full Monash course offer).
Note: the following students are not eligible to apply for this scholarship:
  • Students enrolling in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Students in Monash Pathway programs (e.g. Monash College and Monash University Foundation Year).
  • Students transferring from another Monash campus or applying to Monash from another Australian University.
  • Students studying Australian Year 12*.
Selection criteria:
  • Based on academic achievement.
  • Students will also be assessed on their scholarship application statement (1000 words) and their potential to be an ambassador for Monash University.

All full-time undergraduate or postgraduate (coursework) programs offered at the University.

The following programs are exempted from this award: Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS); Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Monash Pathway programs.

Number of awards
Four scholarships are available.

Sponsorship duration
This scholarship will be for the entire duration of your degree programme. You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester to retain this scholarship.

Scholarship benefits
100% course fees paid until the minimum number of points for your degree are completed (excludes OSHC, accommodation and living costs).

Method of Application
Before applying for this scholarship, you must have received a full Monash course offer with no conditions.

You must submit a separate application form for this scholarship by the due deadline date.

The closing dates for Selection Rounds 1 and 2 are October 15 and November 15 respectively for Semester one or two of the following year. Closing date for Selection Round 3 is January 15 for Semester one or two of the current year. While closing dates for Selection Rounds 4, 5 and 6 are March 15, April 15 and June 12 respectively for Semester two of the current year.

The next deadlines are 15 January 2016 (for Semester 1 or 2, 2016), March 15, April 15 and June 12 (all for Semester 2, 2016).

Your admission can be deferred within the same calendar year only.

Do not submit supporting documentation with your application – this will not be considered.

Recipients of this scholarship may be asked to participate or be profiled in relevant Monash marketing, recruitment and promotional materials and/or events.
