Scholarship Description
The University of Winnipeg is happy to offer the President's Scholarship for World Leaders to newly admitted international students from any country other than the United States of America.

The University of Winnipeg President's Scholarship for World Leaders will be given to international students entering any of the University's divisions for the first time - Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) or English Language Program (ELP). Applicants must be involved in activities that demonstrate leadership.

Unless otherwise stated, all full-time and part-time students are eligible for Entrance and In-Course awards as long as they meet the published criteria.

Eligibility
The scholarships will be offered under the following divisions:

• English Language Program (ELP)
• Professional, Applied Continuing Education (PACE)
• Undergraduate
• Collegiate
• Graduate

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Have a minimum 80% admission average or equivalent 
• Be an international student 
• Entering first year of any program 
• Demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities 
• Apply for admission by the scholarship deadline date

Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT USA)

All courses available at the following levels: Undergraduate, Graduate, Collegiate, Professional, Applied and Continuing Education (PACE) or English Language Program (ELP).

Number of awards
Each of the award divisions will receive 3 grants - a total of 15 awards

These are granted awards

Scholarship benefits
The value of each award is $3,500 per award; except the Undergraduate and Graduate awards which are both valued at $5000 for each award

DEADLINES:
For ELP, PACE and Undergraduate programs, all applications must have been submitted by Monday April 3, 2017 (for Spring/Summer 2017), Friday June 2, 2017 (for Fall 2017), and Monday October 2, 2017 (for Winter 2018). For Collegiate and Graduate programs, deadline to submit is Friday June 2, 2017 (Fall 2017 or Winter 2018).
