Scholarship Description
The Building Opportunities for Leadership and Development (BOLD) Internship Program is a paid summer internship for rising undergraduate seniors that are interested in working in technology and full-time opportunities at Google.

Google designed the BOLD program to expose historically underrepresented students in this field to career opportunities in the industry. Interns are placed in teams like marketing, people operations, advertising sales and user operations, communications and a lot more.

Outside of your work, you will engage in high-impact developmental programming while building meaningful relationships with other interns and Googlers through a variety of summer activities. This includes 1:1 mentorship, an exclusive speaker series with company leadership, custom learning and development programming, and opportunities to create community.

Eligibility
Students from all schools, and students who identify with a group that is historically underrepresented in the technology industry, including but not limited to Black, Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, and veterans, are encouraged to apply.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Be currently enrolled in a 4-year BA/BS program, in any major, at a university in the United States with an expected graduation date between December 2017 and June 2018
  • Have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Be able to complete an 11-12 week program beginning in May or June 2017.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Strong interest in the Internet and Google’s technology business.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to navigate an ambiguous environment.
  • Analytical skills and an interest in tackling business problems.

Scholarship benefits
Based on your prior experiences and interests, you will be matched to, interview with, and work on a team for 11-12 weeks during the summer. You can view a list of example teams on the official webpage. Interns will be considered for potential full-time opportunities based on their internship performance.

GOOGLE DOES NOT ACCEPT FEES. Google is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes. Application is a 2-part process. To apply:
  • Part 1: Complete and submit the BOLD Intern Application Form.
  • Part 2: Click the “Apply” button on the right to submit your resume using the same email address listed in the BOLD Intern Application form. A cover letter is not required.
Once you apply to both application components by November 30, Google will provide regular status updates to all applicants on a rolling basis.
