Scholarship Description
The Liverpool Hope University awards the Overseas Scholarships for undergraduate (bachelor) and postgraduate (masters) students from any country of the world on the basis of academic merit to study at the university.

The Overseas Scholarship is a partial fee reduction financial award to students with good academic qualification.

Eligibility
Criteria for applicants:
  • Undergraduate: Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved, in aggregate, first class marks in their higher secondary education and have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a Bachelors programme. If successful, the student will receive the £1,000 award each year, subject to satisfactory academic progress, £3,000 in total.
  • Postgraduate: Applications are welcome from international students who have achieved first class results in their final degree classification and who have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place on a Postgraduate Taught Masters programme.
The Overseas Scholarships are only available to applicants paying full international tuition fees. Citizens of the UK, EU and EEA are not eligible to apply

Scholarship benefits
For undergraduates, the award is worth up to £3,000 (that is £1,000 award per year subject to satisfactory academic progress); For postgraduates, the award is worth £1,000.

NOTE that the Overseas Scholarships are deducted from the standard tuition fee and student will be invoiced for the net tuition fee due.

Method of Application
How applications for the Overseas Scholarships are judged:
  • Undergraduate: For undergraduate applicants, eligibility for the Overseas Scholarship is judged on the basis of the application to the chosen programme of study and the relevant supporting documentation. There is no need to submit a separate application form.
    If an applicant is awaiting exam results or final transcripts/certificates then the assessment is made once these have been received.
  • Postgraduate: For postgraduate applicants, eligibility for the Overseas Scholarship is judged on the basis of the application to the chosen programme of study and the relevant supporting documentation. There is no need to submit a separate application form.

How to Apply:
  • Undergraduate: As the Overseas Scholarship is judged at the time of application or receiving the final transcript/certificates there is no need to complete a separate application form.
  • Postgraduate: As the Overseas Scholarship is judged at the time of application or receiving the final transcript/certificates there is no need to complete a separate application form.

(1). For Undergraduate application (always through UCAS), there are three application deadlines for courses through UCAS - 15 October, 15 January and 24 March - it is important to check the deadline for your chosen course(s). If you are applying from the UK, you should submit your application by the relevant deadline below.
  • 15 October - application deadline for the receipt at UCAS of applications for all professional medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and veterinary science courses, and for all courses at the universities of Oxford and Cambridge.
  • 15 January - application deadline for the receipt at UCAS of applications for all courses except those listed above with a 15 October deadline, and art and design courses with a 24 March deadline.
  • 24 March - application deadline for the receipt at UCAS of applications for art and design courses except those listed with a 15 January deadline.
(2). Applications for Postgraduate Taught are made direct to the University. To ensure a speedy response to your application, please ensure all necessary documentation is enclosed and that your application is completed in full.
