Do you want to be part of a world-leading community? The University of Nottingham is offering several scholarship opportunities for outstanding international students who wish to pursue a PhD or MPhil research programme at the University.

The University's Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships for Research Excellence aim to recognize and reward applications from outstanding international students. A significant number of full scholarships are available for exceptionally qualified candidates.

The University of Nottingham welcomes applications from suitable candidates but would particularly value applications from strong candidates wishing to work within the research priority areas of each faculty.

Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship for Research Excellence (International)

Eligibility
You can apply for this scholarship if you:
  • are classed as an overseas student for fee purposes AND
  • already hold an offer to start a full-time research degree programme, PhD or MPhil, at Nottingham in September or October 2017, in any subject area*.

Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT the EU/EEA countries)

All full-time research degree programmes, PhD or MPhil, in any area of study (see below; except Engineering*). Note that each faculty has its research priority areas. Please check with individual faculties regarding their areas of research.
*Engineering research students should apply for the Dean of Engineering Research Scholarship for International Excellence.

In 2016, Nottingham is offering international students over 50 scholarships

This scholarship covers the whole duration of the research study

This is a FULL tuition fee scholarship

Method of Application
You must receive an offer of study before applying for this scholarship. If you have not yet applied for a research degree course, you may apply now. Application for admission to study at Nottingham must be received at least six weeks before the scholarship closing date to allow time for the Admissions office to process the application and confirm your offer, before you can apply for the scholarship.
