Scholarship Description
For the 2018/19 academic session, the Institute of Education, IOE, at the University College London, UCL, in partnership with International Students House (ISH) is offering the IOE-International Students House Centenary Masters Scholarships for international students.

The successful applicants will be overseas students who plan to work either in their home country, or another, to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachieving citizens.

Applications for the 2018-19 Centenary Taught Masters Scholarships for international (non-UK and non-EU) students will open end of January 2018 (subject to funding).

IOE-International Students House Centenary Masters Scholarships

Eligibility
Candidates should:
  • Be citizens and residents of a low or lower-middle income country (as per World Bank website)
  • Have an offer to study a full time Master's degree in London at the UCL Institute of Education (October 2018 start)
  • Not have studied or lived in the UK before.
Please note that online courses are not eligible for these scholarships.

Eligible groups
Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT UK home students).

This scholarship specifically targets international students from low-income or lower-middle income countries.

Scholarship benefits
Scholarships will cover full tuition fees and accommodation at International Students House. ISH provides accommodation for a year, while the IOE covers tuition fees. Please note that these scholarships do not cover subsistence in London, travel or any other costs.

The deadline to apply for these scholarships is 8 April 2018 (23.59 London time)

PLEASE NOTE:
All candidates will be notified the results by 11 May 2018.

The scholarship panel will look for evidence of outstanding academic and professional achievement, alongside a persuasive account of how your award will help you to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachiving citizens. Please ensure that you cover these aspects in your application.
