For the 2017/18 academic session, the Institute of Education, IOE, at the University College London, UCL, in partnership with International Students House (ISH) is offering the IOE-International Students House Centenary Masters Scholarships for international students.
The successful applicants will be overseas students who plan to work either in their home country, or another, to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachieving citizens.
Applications for the 2017-18 Centenary Taught Masters Scholarships for international (non-UK and non-EU) students will open end of January 2017 (subject to funding).
You need to:
- Be a resident of a low or lower-middle income country (as defined by the World Bank).
- Have an offer to study a full time masters degree at the UCL Institute of Education (October 2017 start).
- Not have studied or lived in the UK before.
Citizens of ALL countries (EXCEPT UK home students).
This scholarship specifically targets international students from low-income or lower-middle income countries.

The awards will be applied toward the complete duration of the scholarship
Scholarships will cover full tuition fees and accommodation at International Students House. ISH provides accommodation for a year, while the IOE covers tuition fees. Please note that these scholarships do not cover subsistence in London.

Please note that if you have already applied for your masters programme, you will need to apply for the scholarship in addition to your programme application. If you have not yet applied for your masters programme, the scholarship application is sufficient as it includes programme details.

Applications for 2017/18 will commence end of January 2017. You must submit the scholarship application form online before 18 March 2017.
The scholarship panel will look for evidence of outstanding academic and professional achievement, alongside a persuasive account of how your award will help you to improve the circumstances of disadvantaged, excluded or underachiving citizens. Please ensure that you cover these aspects in your application.
International Students House (ISH) is a student residence and a unique social, cultural and recreational centre. ISH aims to improve international understanding and friendship and provides a wide programme of events for students 365 days a year. Located in the safe neighbourhood of Regent's Park, ISH is a central place to meet students from Britain and around the world.
