  2. BE CAREFUL....The emails (paurectorate@african-union.org & fattya@frica-union.org) given in the “Pan African University: Call for Applications for the 2016/2017 Academic Year” announcement do not work / do not exist, we are asking if this information published by the AU website and other websites is it a hoax?
    Please provide us additional details, as all emails are not working, they are like those given by scammers.

    1. @Alfa thanks for bringing this to our notice. We will investigate this issue promptly. Regards

    2. @Alfa we have established the following:

      1). the entity that called for this scholarship (i.e. “Pan African University: Call for Applications for the 2016/2017 Academic Year”) is the same entity that have always successfully called for this scholarship in past years;

      2). that this entity is indeed officially recognized by the African Union;

      3). that the email given in this call for further inquiries by applicants is indeed not working (it returns an error message thus: rejected by the server for the recipient domain african-union.org);

      4). that the current state of affairs does not prevent your successful application to this year's scholarship call (as you are to complete an online application and then send hard copies by courier).

      Please note: we have sent a message to the Technical Unit responsible for maintaining the AU website, and we hope that this glitch will be rectified soon.

  21. Hello everyone, we're really sorry about your inability to apply. Unfortunately, the issue is with the web engineers over at African Union, and despite our all our spirited efforts, it doesn't seem they are interested in rectifying whatever is wrong at their end. This is the second time this has happened during this 2017-2018 application season, and there is actually little or nothing we at Study & Scholarships can do, except to continue to send them reminders to rectify the problem on their website.

      Delete
    2. I wouldn't understand why your university don't have a professor. But if you truly don't have, then you don't have. So you can use a Dr, but I advise you inform them that the requirement was Professor recommendation, and that they indicate your school currently has none.

      So yes, you can use a Dr

    4. There is a genuine problem with their server which must be addressed. It has nothing to do with late submission. Problem started weeks ago.

      No response to emails sent.

    1. @Unknown unfortunately, there's a last minute rush by hundreds of applicants (or even more) trying to submit all at the same time. This seems to have caused a problem at the AU submission portal. Plus several more hundreds calling at the same time, it appears the scholarship team is now overwhelmed. As it is, I can only advise that you continue to try to submit. Good luck!

    2. They should please get something done. when exactly on the 15th june will the application be close?

      Delete
    3. I don't think it is as a result of a last minute rush. There are genuine issues with the submission portal which need to be rectified.

      I started having this challenge 3 weeks ago.

      Have sent emails no response. Have tried to call. I am only told the secretary is refusing to pick up calls.

      I think this is very unfair.

      If their system is not working they should provide alternatives.

      It is really frustrating.

    4. please help me..can i apply at this time please..

      Delete
    5. @Thelma, I feel your pain and I think it's unfair too, although it appears the stream of emails and calls they received took them by surprise. On the whole, however, I agree it's unfair to announce a call as big as this when you're not fully prepared to deal with candidate application stress.

      @Anonymous, I'm sorry but this call ended about 4 hours ago at close of business. If you really want the AU scholarship, then you'll have to wait for the next call. And that's next year. Otherwise, I'll suggest you apply to other scholarship calls.
