Scholarship Description
The University of East Anglia awards over £1,000,000 of scholarships each year to support international students in their studies. The awards are made by individual Schools of Study in the University. All international students (outside the European Union) are considered for a scholarship of between 10% and 50% of tuition fees.

Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded to students on the basis of academic merit and are normally for the duration of the period of study - three years for Bachelor and PhD degrees and one year for Masters programmes. They are available from all Schools of Study and across most courses of study.

Students of outstanding academic ability will also be considered for Faculty Scholarship Awards made by the Dean of Faculty, usually in April or May each year. These are highly competitive and prestigious awards.

Method of Application
In order to be considered for a UEA scholarship you do not need to make a separate application. Please indicate on your application for admission that you wish to be considered for a scholarship.

It is important to make an application as early as possible because they are considered as they are received. So apply early to make sure of the best chance of success. If you are granted a scholarship, you will be informed at the time you receive your offer of a place at UEA.

Undergraduate:
For entry in September 2013 (or entry deferred to September 2014), your application should be sent to UCAS as soon as possible after 1 September 2012. The last dates for receipt of applications are:
  • 15 October 2012 for candidates including Oxford and Cambridge or a Medicine degree course among their entries;
  • 15 January 2013 for candidates not including Oxford or Cambridge among their entries.
Applications received after 15 January 2013 will be considered at the University's discretion.

Postgraduate:
The closing date for postgraduate taught degrees starting in September 2013 is 31 July 2013. After this date, we cannot guarantee that places will still be available. However, some courses may be full before the closing date and so candidates are advised to apply as early as possible.
