Eligibility:
Students with an undergraduate or Masters/Diploma degree in any scientific, engineering, maths or IT discipline, previously awarded or expected in 2012, are eligible.

Scholarship Description:
The NUS PhD-MBA aims to attract and train talented students who have the potential to create and lead technology companies. It is jointly hosted by the NUS Graduate School for Integrative Sciences and Engineering and the NUS Business School. Students develop their research skills by doing a PhD in a scientific or engineering discipline. Concurrently they learn about business by working on an MBA. Internships provide practical experience.

NUS is a global University located in Singapore, in the heart of Asia. NUS was recently ranked 28th and the NUS MBA 23rd in the world. English-speaking Singapore has long been an excellent place in which to do business. In recent years Singapore has invested heavily in developing a world-class research infrastructure and training talent to not only do research but also commercialize it. The PhD-MBA at NUS is part of these efforts.

Internships: PhD-MBA students do an internship in a startup or established technology company or in a venture capital firm, in Singapore or abroad. The number of startups in Singapore is growing rapidly. Some have already been acquired, among them Singular ID, acquired by Bilcare in India and tenCube, acquired by McAfee in the USA
