Scholarship Description
The Ministry of Earth Sciences announces its funded Senior Research Fellow (SRF) Position in Farming and Pearl Production in the Black Pearl Oyster 2011 at Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, India.

A walk in interview will be conducted at the Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute (CMFRI) Kochi for the following position on contractual appointment basis under the Ministry of Earth Sciences funded Project on Farming and Pearl Production in The Black Pearl Oyster Pinctada margaritifera in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Eligibility
QUALIFICATIONS:
a) Essential:
Potential candidates must possess a M.Sc/M.F.Sc.in Marine Biology and/or Mariculture Fisheries and/or Zoology and/or Aquaculture and/or Life Sciences with 55% marks.

b). Desirable:
Experience in reproductive biology of invertebrates/larval rearing/Mariculture/experience in sea trips and stay in Islands/seawater sample analysis. Evidence of published work/Experience in data processing using computers

c). Age limit:
35 years (age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC)

Note that the place of duty will be at CMFRI-MoES Project site, Marine Hill, Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Method of Application

General Instructions:
Purely temporary and will be recruited on contract basis till March, 2012 or the end of the project whichever is earlier. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The candidates are requested to bring their originals alongwith a set of attested copies of their certificates.

The Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute is a marine fisheries research institute located at Kochi, India. It is an Indian Council of Agricultural Research institute.
