Scholarship Description
Makerere University in Uganda AND University of Copenhagen in Denmark, has received a grant from the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs for a project in Public Health.

The project 'Quality Medicine Use for Children in Uganda' is a 5- year multi-disciplinary collaboration that is devoted to improving the quality of medicine use and management for children in Uganda through research and research training.

Within the collaboration, there is one scholarship for Masters in Public Health.

Eligibility
Applicant(s) should be a qualified Ugandian.

Eligible candidates must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following:
  1. Health Sciences- Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Dental Surgery
  2. Social Sciences- Social Work and Social Administration, Sociology
  3. Community Psychology
Applicants should be currently working, with at least 2 years of relevant experience in health services or health research institution.

Method of Application
Enrolment in a relevant Masters training program at Makerere University must be for the academic year 2011/2012. Candidates must submit their written application together with: -
  1. An up-to- date curriculum vitae
  2. Copies of relevant academic certificates
  3. Undergraduate University transcript
  4. Two-page statement of purpose of study and proposed research
  5. Two letters of reference- academic and professional
