Scholarship Description
DigiPen offers financial assistance to eligible students in the form of grants, scholarships, loans, and veterans benefits. Scholarships are monetary awards offered to students to help pay for their education, and students must usually meet a set of criteria in order to be eligible for scholarships.

For the 2011-2012 school year, DigiPen Institute of Technology is offering fifteen, $1000.00 scholarships to 15 U.S. citizen or permanent resident female students who obtain all of the qualifications listed below.

DigiPen is happy to be able to offer these scholarships for undergraduate and graduate masters study. Only students who are eligible because they meet the qualifications below are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility
Qualifications / Eligibility Rules:
  1. Must be female.
  2. All applicants must meet the standard admission requirements for the program they are applying for at DigiPen Institute Of Technology.
  3. Must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or greater in your most recent educational history.
  4. Submit a one-page essay. Please address the following questions:
    • What made you interested in pursuing a degree at DigiPen?
    • What are some of your ideas for how DigiPen could encourage more women to pursue studies and careers in the digital interactive entertainment fields?
  5. Must be a student entering any of DigiPen Institute of Technology’s full time degree programs.
  6. Must be a US citizen or permanent resident.
  7. Must be a new incoming student for the Fall 2010-2011 academic year
  8. Cannot receive another DigiPen Scholarship.

Method of Application
DigiPen Institute of Technology welcomes students from different countries and cultures. Before applying to your course, read through the information about additional requirements for international applicants to prepare the necessary documents and materials in a timely fashion. In addition to the degree-specific requirements found under the undergraduate or graduate admission requirements, all international applicants must also provide the requested documents in order to be considered for admission to DigiPen (see the Application process page for specific details).

DEADLINES:
There are two scholarship application deadlines: for Fall entry and for Spring entry. The deadline dates are April 1st, 2011 for Fall 2011 start and November 1st, 2011 for Spring 2012 start.

DigiPen Institute of Technology is a private university located in Redmond, Washington. DigiPen has campuses in Redmond, Washington, in Singapore, and in Bilbao, Spain. DigiPen offers bachelor's and master's degree programs specific to the fields of Computer Science, Animation, Video Game Development, Game Design, Sound Design, and Computer Engineering. It also offers summer programs for students in grades K-12, as well as online courses and year-long high school programs.
