Scholarship Description
The Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) conferences provide cutting-edge, evidence-based Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) that gives the cancer nurse an opportunity to network with their nursing colleagues. Options range from national events to virtual conferences, thus being flexible enough to suit the schedule of many nurses.

The aim of these ONS Conference Scholarship funding offer is to support a professional nurse who has demonstrated innovation in responding to challenges in practice, that has made a difference for the patient/family, institution and/or fellow healthcare professionals.

ONS Conference Scholarships promote excellence in oncology nursing and quality cancer care. Its vision has always been to lead to the transformation of cancer care. The ONS core values are Integrity, Innovation, Stewardship, Advocacy, Excellence, and Inclusiveness.

Eligibility
The applicant must be a registered nurse involved in cancer nursing.

Individuals that received a 2008 Congress Scholarship from the ONS Foundation are not eligible to receive this award. An individual cannot receive this award more than one time, per scholarship.

Scholarship benefits
Funding will be provided for attending oncology conferences. The details of this funding (transport, accommodation, etc) must be obtained from the provider i.e. ONS Foundation.

Method of Application
Applicants may apply on their own or be nominated for this scholarship by an ONS Chapter or Special Interest Group (SIG). Each chapter and SIG may nominate one nurse for this award. All nominations must be received before midnight (GMT) of the deadline date announced as below.
