Scholarship Description
HEC Paris offers the Foundation Rainbow Bridge Scholarship for women to study in that school.

The Fondation Rainbow Bridge Scholarship, established in memory of Muriel Dargent and her relations all of whom disappeared in the December 2004 Tsunami, is available for women from Asian or African countries affected by natural disasters, drought or famine.

The Fondation Rainbow Bridge will enable young women recipients to enrich their academic background by obtaining an HEC MBA.

Fondation Rainbow Bridge MBA Scholarships (HEC Paris)

Eligibility
Recipients of this scholarship are top-caliber female candidates who have been admitted to the HEC MBA program and who can demonstrate exemplary leadership skills in one or more of the following areas:
  • Community work
  • Charity engagement
  • Sustainable development practices
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Only admitted candidates can apply for this scholarship.

Women applying must come from an Asian or African country affected by a natural disaster, drought or famine. In addition, they must demonstrate a commitment to solving some of the social and economic issues affecting their countries while working for the long-term security of the people living there.

Please note that unfortunately you cannot apply for this scholarship if admitted after June 15th for the September intake and after November 26th for the January intake.

Sponsorship duration
This is a onetime financial award to successful applicants.

The HEC MBA Full-time program is a 16 months study plan; while the part-time MBA option is offered as one week per month over 24 months.

Scholarship benefits
The amount of the scholarships award is €20,000 per year for each successful applicant

Method of Application
Only admitted candidates can apply for this scholarship. Please note that unfortunately you cannot apply for this scholarship if admitted after June 15th for the September intake and after November 26th for the January intake. Eligible applicants have to answer the essay question below and comply as directed on the official website in submitting a financial statement.

Essay Question: Please explain in 1,500 words why you should be named the Fondation Rainbow Bridge Scholar at the HEC MBA Program, while identifying your post-MBA goals.

Personal Financial Statement: Applicants must submit a detailed description of their financial circumstances as well as a cash-flow forecast for the 16-month duration at HEC.

DEADLINES:
The deadline for scholarship application every year is ROLLING (i.e. all year-round) but candidates are advised to apply as early as possible. You must have applied and been admitted by June 15th 2017 for the September 2017 intake and by November 26th 2017 for the January 2018 intake.

PLEASE NOTE:
Decision date for September 2017 full-time intake is 18th August 2017; and that for January 2018 full-time intake is 18th August 2017.

It is IMPORTANT to note that it is only when candidates are admitted into the HEC Full-Time MBA Program that they can have the opportunity to apply online for HEC MBA Scholarships.

The Fondation Rainbow Bridge Scholarship was established in memory of Muriel Dargent, Matthieu Dargent, Iris Dargent, and Muriel's parents, all of whom disappeared in the December 2004 Tsunami.

A graduate of HEC in 1988, Muriel Dargent presented a strong role model for young women, juggling her responsibilities as wife, mother, and leader. As the Financial Director of Nihon L'Oreal in Japan, Muriel was fluent in English, Spanish and Japanese.
